Bruce Bowen — a guard for the San Antonio Spurs — became a father for the second time this morning, when wife Yardley Bowen gave birth to the couple’s second son, 6 lb, 11 oz. Ozmel at 9:19 a.m.

I’m a proud papa again.  My wife is doing well and the baby is well.  What a gift during quite a time.

If anyone can relate to the whirlwind of emotions Bruce is experiencing, it is Cleveland Cavalier player LeBron James who — ironically enough — Bruce is currently guarding in the NBA Finals. LeBron is currently awaiting the birth of his second son with fiance Savannah Brinson, who is due to deliver June 17. Joked LeBron:

I’m expecting.  Well, I’m not.  That would be pretty weird.

Ozmel joins big brother Ojani, 2. LeBron and Savannah welcomed their first child, LeBron Jr., in 2004. San Antonio leads Cleveland in the series 1-0; Game 2 is tomorrow night.
