Nail art is getting increasingly creative and fun, thanks to platforms like TikTok that allow for easy sharing of ideas and techniques.

From tortoise shell nails to velvet texture nails, the trends are always inspiring... until they're strange.

The latest nail video to go viral on the app features peach skin - yes, real actual peach skin.

The video, which now has over 650k likes, shows a quick montage of how one nail artist crafts acrylic nails using real peach skin.

First a layer of a real peach is rested on top of the nail, then the creator puts what appears to be an adhesive (like glue) over the top to seal the peach in and create a shiny top coat.

Then the peach skin is chopped into shape and shaved using a tool to sand down the skin's thickness and to smooth the texture.

Suddenly the end result is a glossy, fruity, carved out nail.

Peachy makeup is trending this summer, so maybe it was only a matter of time until someone attempted to bring the look onto their nails.

Though, we doubt many people will go to this effort (or have the skills and tech required tbh), and so it makes for an impressive watch.

The end result is kinda cool too. We'll take this in a faux peach stick-on form?!

The account owner of @ilysmnails made the video after receiving a request (or rather a challenge) to make peach nails - they certainly delivered.

They've since offered updates on the peach nail, and other real fruit nails they've made, after a viewer commented on the potential rotting issue.

It's confirmed that yes, the fruit will change colour and degrade on the nail.

It might not be the trend we all replicate as is at home, but now suddenly we want to pull out all peach toned nail polishes.

It feels like a safer option.
